Telecom Equipment Sales and End User Training Program Outcome: AT&T CENTREX system requires considerable amount of education and training for users, administrators and service personnel to get full value out of this complex hardware/software technology. Teledec was tasked create an effective, informative and user friendly training tools that AT&T sales staff, distributors and users could use. The solution was to create a modular video training program leveraging the digital video editing environment that allowed unlimited customization to tailor each training suite edited to the exact specification of the customer in matter of minutes. High price of customized video production was avoided by joining individual videos of selected Centrex feature (from a library of large number of stand alone short video modules) sandwiched between a standard intro and ending footage. This humorous introduction and conclusion featured Bob Newhart as the anchor – making the video training entertaining, engaging and informative.

Telecom Technology Solution Training Programs Outcome: Teledec developed series of highly technical training courses for Tellabs internal staff as well as it’s distributors and global customer base for its digital cross connect as well as packet switched products. These video-based courses, written, videotaped and edited by Teledec were designed to teach integration of data, voice, and IP video services and applications supported by the Tellabs solutions and systems. Courses included hands-on activities on Tellabs hardware and actual operating environment, designed to help reinforce theories and concepts presented in the courses.

Teledec designed, developed and helped launch multiple levels of training to different business units, including customer service training courses for entry-level as well as experienced customer service representatives to the fundamental principles and techniques required to deliver excellent service. The courses prepared the learners to achieve customer service certification. Courses focused on the essential skills necessary to deliver excellent customer service through real world exercises and group activities that taught the service representatives critical skills in the areas of professionalism, communication, meeting regulatory guidelines, managing the customer, managing job stress and other skills such as computer technology and proficiency. The courses also ensured that the students can transfer these skills to the job and thereby provide a significant return on the training investment by HCSC.

Claims Processing and Adjudication Employee Training Program Outcome: The primary goal of the Advocate In-house Training Program was to train employees in the fundamental aspects of a fast evolving industry and technology, including understanding new regulations, eligibility rules, payment processing, coding fundamentals, , diagnostics, treatments, procedures, anatomy, medical terminology and their impact on billing. Through hands-on computer based learning and real life examples, students became familiar with the contents of medical records and the industry-accepted processes for creating and indexing codes. Students also received training in ICD-10, medical offices, clinics, hospitals and insurance companies, among others, to prepare them for diverse level positions in the hospital back office administration fields.

Cloud-Based Enterprise Document Management System Training Program Outcome: Effective Document Management is critical to a pharmaceutical company complying with FDA requirements and guidelines. Abbott Pharmaceutical switched from its 20+year old legacy system to a cloud based application that required comprehensive training to Abbott’s worldwide user base including partners and collaborators. Translating a scientific idea into a safe medicine that benefits millions of people is a long, difficult, and expensive process. It takes 10 to 15 years at a cost of $800 million to $1 billion to bring a new drug from a laboratory to a pharmacy shelf, according to the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA). This expensive & difficult process is carefully tracked and monitored by the Pharmaceutical Document Management system.. Deliverables included leading a team of in-house document management instructors to develop enterprise-wide Document Management System training course as well as delivery mechanism world-wide. Responsibilities included establishing lines of communication with IT centers of excellence in determining needs and evaluating organizational impact. Spearheaded development and deployment of learning strategies and training solutions that turned around performance issues and corporate priorities. Created procedural documentation from start to finish including interaction with Abbott and Vendor IT teams including System Architects, Developers, and Specialists. Developed and wrote complete technical documentation including instructors guide and participants manual for Abbott Document Management System. Wrote user guides and process flow documents including navigation and workflow of newly acquired Document and Validation Management System – Abbott M-Files.

Technology Consulting and Data Integration / Web Application Training Outcome: Morton Grove Pharmaceutical (MGP) is a leading manufacture of generic drugs in USA. A key component of an effective pharmaceutical company’s safety program is the accurate determination and communication of exact constitution and potential hazards of its products. Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS ) is the standard method for communication for environmental, health, and safety of the users and handlers of all such products. Teledec was tasked to create a online portal with a searchable, printable database of all products manufactured by this company. Deliverables included cataloging MGP’s entire product line including integration with their back end ERP system database complete with photographic identification and labeling detail of each product with complete technical specifications.
